Goalkeeper’s stop against the Blades up for April award

Arijanet Muric’s impressive stop to deny Sheffield United’s James McAtee from curling home a strike from the edge of the area has been nominated for the Premier League’s April Save of the Month award.

The save came in the Clarets’ 4-1 win at Bramall Lane last month as the visitors cruised to victory against the Blades, but Muric was forced into action on a handful of occasions to keep out the likes of McAtee, Oli McBurnie and Ben Brereton Diaz with some outstanding saves.

The Kosovan was shortlisted for the same award in March for his fine stop to deny Brentford’s Yoan Wissa at Turf Moor and now Burnley’s No.49 has been nominated for the award once again.

Up for the award alongside Muric is Matz Sels (Nottingham Forest), Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace), Andre Onana (Manchester United), Allison Becker (Liverpool) and Lukasz Fabianski (West Ham United).

Supporters can vote here for Muric’s save to win, with voting closing on Monday 6th May at 12pm.
